Tony King. M.Eng., P.Eng., Director, Ice Engineering
Tony King joined C-CORE in 1995. He holds a Masters in Civil Engineering from Memorial University and has extensive experience in risk analysis, probabilistic methodologies and numerical modeling. He has expertise in pack ice and iceberg scour risk analysis and has worked on projects focused on the Grand Banks, Strait of Belle Isle and Labrador Shelf, as well as in the Beaufort and Caspian Seas and off Sakhalin Island. His Master's thesis "Iceberg Scour Risk Analysis for Pipelines on the Labrador Shelf" helped revive interest in exploring the Labrador offshore and he has since managed a number of iceberg scour survey programs and development studies for that region. He provides overall management and direction for C-CORE's Ice Engineering Team. Having previously led our Geotechnical Team, Tony brings a broad cross-disciplenary perspective to solving clients' problems.
