Specialized Expertise
C-CORE actively develops solutions for a number of offshore harsh environments, including deepwater Gulf of Mexico, East Coast Canada, and ice-ravaged regions of Alaska, Eastern Russia and the Grand Banks of Newfoundland. Our knowledge of risk assessment, modelling and hazard detection has made us a leading world expert in oil and gas operations in ice environments.
In addition to C-CORE's marine expertise, we also actively
investigate geotechnical issues related to offshore oil and gas
developments - including deepwater projects. Expertise in submarine
slope stability and offshore geohazards is increasingly critical as
companies expand their exploration of deepwater prospects and exploit
production from deepwater discoveries.
Promoting Safety and Efficiency
From the beginning, C-CORE has remained 100 per cent committed to the safe development of oil and gas resources. We develop and apply technologies to help protect people and the environment, in addition to enhancing operational efficiency. One way we enhance safety is through our hazard detection work, involving the use of earth observation satellites, ground-based radar and UHF radar to accurately identify targets that can potentially damage oil and gas structures and installations. To enhance the intelligent operation of oil and gas processes, we use technologies such as automated core analysis, intelligent systems, robotics, telerobotics and much more.
