Intelligent Sensors

Applying Intelligent Sensors

Intelligent sensors are those that function in ways similar to humans. They include computers, robots and sensors that have the ability to perceive and reason. Today, one of the most valuable uses of intelligent systems is for industrial development in harsh environments or applications where it may not be safe or feasible for people to work efficiently - in some underground mining operations, for example.

Improving Competitiveness Through Intelligent Sensors

Since 1994, C-CORE has developed a wide range of intelligent sensors to help clients improve their competitiveness. We do this by creating systems that introduce or enhance automation, imaging and sensing in industrial processes. C-CORE's team has considerable expertise in the application of intelligent technologies for the mining, oil and gas, fishery and aquaculture sectors. We also have the advantage of collaborative partnerships with industry, institutes and universities, which add to our technical resource. And we have a state-of-the-art telerobotics and computer vision laboratory that allows us to validate and develop technical concepts.

Applied Technologies

Related technologies developed by C-CORE include advanced machine vision and adaptive pattern recognition systems, industrial automation systems, intelligent sensor and control systems, and innovative robotic and telerobotic systems.
